Here is a quote from a Yahoo! Finance news article I read a few minutes ago…
Wednesday was the first time that Apple issued a warning on its revenue guidance ahead of releasing quarterly results since the iPhone was launched in 2007.
Apple typically gives conservative guidance and then likes to over-deliver on the guidance. Was Apple too aggressive this time with guidance? Or did sales slow down significantly even with conservative guidance where a shareholder alert was still necessary?
Warren Buffet is getting his wish for lower Apple prices so he can buy more. Could he be making another mistake like his investment in IBM years ago? Quite possibly.
AAPL – Apple
